What type of projects do
volunteers help with? How often?
Monthly or periodic volunteering:
Group facilitator: early stage program or
information and support groups. Committee member:
education, fund development, communications,
finance, information and assistance committee, Walk
to Remember committees.
Speakers' bureau: using your expertise on particular
topics.
Health fairs or education programs: organizing,
registration, set-up or display volunteers.
Outreach education: assist with or speak at Network
outreach meetings.
Advocates: write or call legislators on issues
affecting people with Alzheimer's disease and their
families.
Occasional Volunteering:
Adhoc subcommittees: such as Spring Conference,
wandering education/Safe Return, event volunteers
(i.e., volunteer recognition, candlelight vigil,
Walk to Remember, or annual meeting) Some or all of
this work to be done outside of the office
